“I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

What is this course about?

It’s about Jesus Christ, the God-Man, who reveals the heart of the Heavenly Father to us.

It’s about you, who are searching for the deepest reasons why you exist.

And it’s about a curious institution that’s two thousand years old; one which has outlasted all empires, kingdoms, and nations; one which offers an astonishment beyond the reach of human imagining; one which will never pass away from the face of the earth.

What makes this course different?

The Church imposes nothing. She only proposes: respectfully, winsomely, persuasively, like a lover to her beloved. What she proposes she believes to be the truth, and the truth does impose itself; for human beings endowed by God with the gift of reason are, as it were, hardwired for the truth.

This course respects the inner sanctuary of human conscience and the nature of human freedom, which often demand that we wrestle with difficult ideas and raise our toughest objections to them, before considering making them our own. Therefore this course is a space in which doubt and skepticism are given the respect and space they deserve, as we make continual reference to the only question that really matters: Is it true?
